"I heard about this restaurant in January when the Philadelphia Center City District listed it as a participating restaurant in its annual Restaurant Week (which occurs in late January). I didn\'t try Chima until Wednesday, May 6, 2009. I\'d never been to a Brazilian restaurant.

Though I didn\'t have a reservation, I was seated immediately. I didn\'t have a coupon, but I knew it would be expensive. This is a meat-lover\'s paradise, a heart attack on a plate. It was also delicious, especially the leg of lamb and the chicken wrapped in bacon. Sides included little balls of beef, mashed potatoes and bread rolls. Flipping that little disc to orange puts you in danger of crossing \'way over the fine line between "pleasantly full" and "movement is possible but not a good idea". The servers keep the meats coming. In addition to the lamb and chicken, I had some beef ribs, salmon, swordfish, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, ribeye, and top sirloin. I also had a little broccoli, and washed it all down with water and sweetened iced tea. Excellent; two thumbs up! "

The bar was gorgeous, and fully stocked- we took advantage of the beer special as well as the half-off wine bottles. The salad bar was full of so many dishes I had never tried, as well as classic favorites. The complimentary appetizers, especially the fried bananas, were absolutely delicious. The meat was by far the best meat I have ever tried. I had almost every kind offered, and the filet mignon and lamb were amazing. and the presentation enhanced the meal. The service was perfect as well- they were friendly, attentive, and made sure we were enjoying ourselves.
Overall, I would say that, if you\'re an adventurous eater, take the "risk" of trying Chima- its an amazing experience and by far the best meal I\'ve ever had. "

"First and foremost the service was excellent, staff are everywhere and you are constantly looked after, water glasses always filled, plates removed and replaced, a perfect 10.

The food, Salad bar has got to be one of the best yet, large and great variety. Great wine selections. Main courses were totally over the top, every meat cooked to perfection and a non-stop parade of different delicacies. Desserts were in a word heavenly.

Atmosphere, simply relaxing and inviting, easy access to the entire establishment.

"Got an offer in the mail to visit Chima\'s. After a long day of work, I wasn\'t that crazy to go out to dinner on a Thursday night. We arrived a little late after getting stuck in a traffic jam. Were seated about 15 minutes later. While waiting we looked around at the beautiful surroundings and excitement in the air. Now if the meal was just at good.
The waiter, Christopher, was pleasant in explaining the concept of the restaurant and very enthusiastic. We were floored when we saw the increible salad bar and didn\'t even try everthing for fear of being too full for the meal. Everything looked scumptous. The sides came and we tried them and then the show began. Leaving our dot orange brought leg of lamb, rib eye, and pork tenderloin parmescean. Delisioso! We had to pause and then had salmon, sausage (never had any like it before)ribs and paused. We finished with the top sirloin, but had to pass on swordfish, lamb chops, chicken wrapped in bacon and beef ribs cause we wanted to try dessert. We were told we could go back to the salad bar for fruit for dessert, but decided to pick from the menu. We shared chocolate lava torte with vanilla ice cream and strawberry swirl. What a perfect ending to a perfect evening. My only wish was that others had been there to enjoy this extraordinary experience with us. The manager came by to ask how we liked it and we only had good things to say. The gauchos were accomodating and cheerful. Can\'t wait to go back, with a group this time."

"On August 23, my wife and I, along with another couple (visiting from North Carolina) had a wonderful and superb dinning experience at the Tyson Corner CHIMA. Although my wife and I first CHIMA experince was in Philidelphia, our friends had never experinced CHIMA and I must say everything was superb. It started with valet parking, the two young men on duty eagerly greeted my party and took care of my lexus while we dined, the hostess who seated us where we chose, and the design of the restaurant itself just set the tone for a memorable evening of dinning.

My wife and I told our guests to be prepared for a dinning experince like no other and the staff, including the manager who made a personal vist to our table to congratulate my wife and I on our 30th wedding anniversary did not let us down. It also was my birthday that same night.

In closing, thanks to the Tyson Corner CHIMA\'s management and entire staff for making our dinning celebration a memory my wife and I as well as our friends will be recalling over the years ahead (especially our friends).

I just wanted to compliment Mario Pais, Chima Tysons Corner, and
its entire team for creating an exceptionally sophisticated yet very
comfortable and welcoming dining experience here in Northern
Virginia.

I have been to Chima about four times in the two months. Every
time I dine at Chima, I am astonished by the degree of customer
care that Mario and his team orchestrates: everything is
"seamless." Excellent servers like Joi and Wilfredo (and all the rest
who have served my tables) welcome you to the restaurant, then
step back, but consistently ANTICIPATE dining needs (another iced
tea, a clean plate) without being obtrusive or hovering.

Chima has become something like a PRIVATE CLUB for me in just
two months because of its elegance and dining and service
excellence - so much so that I recently resigned a local club
membership. Who needs a private club membership when there is
Chima?

I most recently dined at Chima on Election Night 2008: Mario and
his team put together a superb dining celebration to go along with
the election returns - amply documented on television monitors
but without sound (a blessing!). Mario and the team were decked
out like UNCLE SAM in red, white and blue to celebrate an
extraordinary political moment - but without any sense of
partisanship whatsoever. Rather, Mario and team crafted a
celebration of the political process that makes the US a pretty
unique nation.

When I eat at Chima, there\'s great food, always, and great service,
too, but seeing service provided at such a high, welcoming and
professional level across the span of the restaurant floor is just as
big a delight as the meal itself. As a Harvard MBA, I always have
taken great interest in organizations that demonstrate excellence
in marketing and in the management of their service operations.
Mario and his team simply are doing a wonderful, wonderful job in
this regard while making Chima a "go-to place," for me and my
friends. Please thank Mario, Joi, Wilfredo and all their colleagues
for me. They are the best. Oh, and don\'t forget Rebecca Diamond,
who appears to be a marketing dynamo... and someone I stay in
touch with now.
